cockalorum
are a three
piece folk group playing a mix of Scottish and Irish traditional songs
and tunes.
Variety is added
with tasteful interpretations of the best of contemporary folksongs and
some of their own compositions, interspersed with what passes as humour.
All three band
members live in East Kilbride and the band can often be heard playing in
the folk clubs of South Lanarkshire.
The band have played
in Fife; at Ladybank and Dunfermline and Dalgety Bay Folk Clubs as well
as Girvan, Lomond, Biggar and Linlithgow Folk Festivals.
Their first CD, 'hey for
cockalorum' was released in December 2007 and the
follow-up, ‘looking over glasgow’ in August 2009
